Mark Sanchez’s Alleged Assault Victim Files Lawsuit, Claiming ‘Severe Permanent Disfigurement’
- Perry Tole is suing Mark Sanchez and Fox Sports, alleging that the former NFL quarterback appeared intoxicated and instigated a physical altercation resulting in severe injuries.
The man Mark Sanchezallegedly attacked is suing the football commentator and his employer, Fox Sports.
Perry Tolefiled a lawsuit on Monday, October 6 accusing the former New York Jets quarterback, 38, of "appearing intoxicated" when he "instigated an altercation" just after midnight on Saturday, October 4, according to documents obtained by Globe .
Sanchez allegedly told Tole, who was doing his job picking up cooking oil for recycling, that he was not allowed to be at the loading dock of the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to the filing.
"The situation escalated" when Sanchez "blocked and shoved" Tole, leading to a "physical altercation."
As a result of the attack, Tole — who had previously only been known only by his initials — claims in the documents that he suffered "severe permanent disfigurement, loss of function, other physical injuries, emotional distress, and other damages."

Fox59 anchor Angela Ganoteshared pictures of Tole's injuries on X , on Sunday October 5, explaining the family said "he was cut in the fight and it went through his cheek and hit his tongue."
Tole also alleges in the documents that the network "knew or should have known about [Sanchez's] unfitness as an employee, propensity for drinking and/or harmful conduct."
Tole's filing came the same day that Marion County, Indiana Prosecutor Ryan Mearsannounced that Sanchez was being charged with a felony in connection with the incident, TMZ also reported.
The former NFL player had already been charged with three misdemeanors following his arrest while in the hospital on Saturday, October 4.
If convicted, Sanchez faces up to six years in prison.
