On Thursday, Mickey D's announced it would be testing a handful of new drinks from its beverage-forward concept at its regular locations. The new options include cold coffees, fruity refreshers, upgraded sodas, and even energy drinks–but customers won't find these new sips at just any McDonald's location.

Heading to select McDonald's stores very soon is a Toasted Vanilla Frappé, Creamy Vanilla Cold Brew, Popping Tropic Refresher, Sprite Lunar Splash, and a Strawberry Watermelon Refresher, just to name a few.

"We're seeing real momentum in beverages, with more people – especially our Gen Z fans – turning to cold, flavorful drinks as a go-to treat," Alyssa Buetikofer, chief customer experience and marketing officer at McDonald's USA, shared in a July 24 statement. "It's a great opportunity for us to meet our US customers' evolving tastes and show up in new moments, like afternoon refreshment or snack breaks."

Although the company previously announced it would be shuttering all of its CosMc's locations , the concept appears to be sticking around, as McDonald's hinted that this test market rollout could just be the beginning of something even bigger brewing.

"We're not just adding drinks to the menu – we're advancing our global beverage platform that fits naturally with how people already enjoy McDonald's," added Charlie Newberger, beverage category lead at McDonald's. "We've got the structure, the tools, and the team to move fast and scale what works. This first test in the US market is a big step in our global direction."

Fans anticipating the new drinks at stores near them should keep an eye out for future announcements at their local McDonald's, as the brand hasn't publicly revealed exactly when it plans to begin the market test, though it did suggest something was planned for September.
