Mom struggles to raise 4 young children in Brighten A Christmas No. 10
The young mother in Brighten A Christmas case No. 10 is struggling to raise four young children, including a one-month-old.
She is trying to get by with no income for the household.
"Financial issues cause issues getting basic needs met currently," wrote the employee from Third Street Family Health Services who nominated the family for Brighten A Christmas.
Mom did not enroll in time to receive assistance from other programs, making bills more of a priority than providing for the holidays. Her other children are four, two and one.
Donors who want to help the family in case No. 10 can contribute cash, checks or gift cards at any of the nine locations of Mechanics Bank. They should note the case number on the envelope.
The News Journal has been doing Brighten A Christmas for 78 years. We partner with Job & Family Services, the New Store and Mechanics Bank on the campaign.
