Motorcyclist flown to hospital after hit-and-run crash on Route 1 in Mass.
A motorcyclist was flown to a hospital by medical helicopter Wednesday evening following a hit-and-run crash on Route 1 in Peabody, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash shortly before 8 p.m. and found that a 30-year-old woman had been struck by a car while riding a motorcycle, State Police said. The woman was seriously injured, and a medical helicopter brought her to a Boston hospital.
The car involved in the crash fled the scene before first responders arrived, State Police said. It is unclear what condition the woman is in as of Thursday evening.
Investigators ask that anyone with information about the crash report it to State Police by calling 978-538-6161. No further information has been released.
