One person missing, another rescued after capsized boat off Salisbury Beach

A man in his 50s was unaccounted for after a boat capsized off Salisbury Beach on Saturday afternoon.

State police became aware of the capsized boat shortly after 4 p.m., and troopers, along with the agency's marine unit, Air Wing helicopter, the U.S. Coast Guard and the local harbormaster, attempted to rescue the two people onboard.

Authorities rescued the owner of the boat and brought him to a Boston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A second person remained unaccounted for Saturday evening.

Rescue efforts were paused at 7:20 p.m. due to weather conditions, while field patrols continued on land, according to state police.

Authorities did not identify the two people.
