An overnight crash near San Antonio is slowing early Saturday travel along Interstate 10 East in the Hill Country.

According to a Texas Department of Transportation alert, the crash was reported around 3:36 a.m. on May 2 near Mile Marker 489 on I-10 East. The location sits between Kerrville and Junction.

The incident is classified as high severity, and both eastbound lanes are currently affected as crews work to clear the scene. Local law enforcement and sheriff's offices have not yet released additional information on the crash, including whether there are any injuries or how many vehicles were involved.

Drivers heading west from San Antonio should expect significant delays and are encouraged to slow down, use caution, or consider alternate routes.
