Recall alert: 133K blinds sold on Amazon may pose deadly strangulation risk to children
Blinds that have been sold on Amazon are being recalled after discovering they could strangle and entangle children.
The recalled products were sold by Persilux Zebra Blinds in the colors beige, black, dark gray, light gray and white, with sizes ranging from 22 to 72 inches wide and 64 to 72 inches high, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) .
"Perisilux" and "Zebra Blinds" are printed on the product packaging with the barcode "X003FFPT63."
These blinds were sold on Amazon from June 2023 through June 2025 for between $40 and $124.
The blinds are being recalled because they have long operating cords that could strangle or entangle a child, leading to death or serious injury.
Additionally, the product violates the federal rule for window coverings and labeling requirements for window coverings, the CPSC said.
Therefore, customers are urged by the CPSC to "immediately stop using" the blinds and contact Persilux for a free repair kit, which consists of a replacement operating cord wand and installation instructions. Shipping will be included.
Customers are also told to remove the blinds, cut and remove the operating cord and send a picture of the blinds with the operating cord removed to the email recall@persiluxhome.com.
