Weeks after landing her dream job, Whitney Robesonwas allegedly gunned down by her boyfriend's father.

Robeson, 22, was shot inside a Trussville, Alabama, home on the evening of March 7. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead .

The recent Auburn University graduate had recently landed a job as a trade consultant at Restoration Hardware, months after graduating with a degree in interior design.

"In her new role as a Trade Consultant at Restoration Hardware, this marvelous, independent woman was on the cusp of her successful career in interior design: the job she had always wanted since she was a little girl watching HGTV," her obituary read.

After a two-month "extensive investigation" into her death, 54-year-old Jeffrey Scott Towerswas arrested on manslaughter charges, the Trussville Police Department said in a statement . Towers is the father of Robeson's boyfriend.

The shooting was ruled an accident by the coroner, according to WBRC .

Towers was taken into custody on May 11 and held on $30,000 bond.

Robeson is remembered for her "infectious charm and radiant personality."

"It was nothing short of a marvel to watch Whitney blossom into the bubbly, witty, and spontaneous person that she was always meant to become," her obituary read. "We mourn Whitney not only as the daughter, sister, and friend she was to us, but also as a woman in the full bloom of her youth and the fantastic mother and aunt she had the potential to become."
