WESTFIELD — Protester Paul Harrison of Russell was appalled Wednesday by news that an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed a Minneapolis motorist .

Hours later, he and fellow members of Westfield No Kings were out in Park Square with signs.

"Shame," one read. "They are killing us now," read another.

Harrison's sign said "ICE = Murder"

"It is what is going to happen," Harrison said.

The killing is the inevitable result of sending a surge of more than 2,000 officers to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul as part of the immigration crackdown, he said.

"(ICE agents) don't know what they are doing," he said. "They are untrained. They are viciously over-armed. They are probably scared."
