Spring weather continues this weekend
LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) – Spring weather will continue Saturday with sunshine and cloud cover mixing throughout the day. Temperatures warm through the 70s by midday and to near 80 this afternoon. No rain will fall, but the pollen count will be high. The UV Index is at an 8 today meaning that the sunburn time will be between 20 and 25 minutes. But, this is making for great pool weather and for any barbeques planned. Tonight will see cool and damp conditions with a little patchy fog after midnight.
Sunday will be a repeat with sun and clouds and highs near 80 degrees. A breeze will kick up in the afternoon with wind gusts at times over 20 mph.
Very little change occurs through the next week. The biggest change will be warmer temperatures by the end of next week. In fact, some areas will climb into the mid 80s during the afternoon hours. Rain is not expected through the next 7 days.
