Teens killed in Dartmouth crash identified

Two teens killed in a Dartmouth crash Saturday have been identified.

Kevin Dos Santos Lopes, 19, of New Bedford, and Amilton De Pina Semedo, 18, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, both died Saturday.

At about 1:35 p.m. Saturday, there were multiple 911 calls reporting a crash on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth near mile marker 19.4 near the Reed Road exit.

A 2006 gray Chevy Equinox was the only car involved.

Both teens had been ejected from the SUV and the crash dislodged the SUV's engine. They were taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

The crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police along with Troopers assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office. But, officials said, it is not deemed suspicious.
