What's that new building in Old Palm City going to offer?
PALM CITY — At least one new store is coming to Old Palm City in a project expected to be complete in late January or early February.
No tenants have been signed, but the building is complete at Southwest Mapp Road and Southwest 33rd Street, and construction of the parking area is underway.
Johnny Gordon, co-owner of Southern Style Properties, bought the land about a year ago, he said, as "just an investment."
He declined to disclose how much the project cost. Construction started in late March.
The land is valued at $210,970; Gordon bought it for $100 in July 2024, according to the Martin County Property Appraiser's Office.
