FSU shooting: Photos from campus after gunman opens fire
Two deaths and multiple injuries were reported on the main campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee on Thursday, April 17.
FSU's Emergency Information and Instructions system warned students and faculty about 12 p.m. that an active shooter was reported on the campus near the Student Union. Everyone was advised to shelter in place until further notice. Law enforcement later escorted students out of the student union building.
The university announced all classes would be canceled through April 18 and all athletic events would be canceled through April 20.
In a Thursday afternoon press conference, authorities said two people were killed and six injured in the FSU shooting.
