Igloo Products Corp. has announced the immediate recall of just over 1.1 million coolers due to a manufacturing defect that can potentially lead to consumer injury. The recall notice names Igloo's 90-Quart Flip & Tow Rolling Cooler in Tactical Gray Body and Deep Slate Stone Lid. The product was manufactured prior to January 2024 and retailed between $80 and $140. The cooler sports a convenient tow handle with word "IGLOO" printed on the side and was sold nationwide, as well as in Mexico and Canada.

As of this week, the firm has received 12 reports of fingertip injuries, including fingertip amputations, bone fractures and lacerations as a result of the product's faulty tow handle. Consumers who have the product in their possession should immediately stop using it and contact Igloo for a free replacement handle instead.

The model number for each cooler can also be located on the labels fixated on the bottom of each cooler.
