Guilford County Sheriff Danny H. Rogers was also at Barber Park to welcome Cooper.
Early voting is underway in North Carolina's U.S. Senate race, and the Nash County native is looking to solidify votes in his home state in the race against Republican opponent Michael Whatley with just 10 days remaining before the 2026 election on Nov. 3.
The former North Carolina Governor's main hallmarks discussed on Saturday centered around his Make Stuff Cost Less platform.

This includes lowering the cost of food and groceries, energy, and housing while making health care and childcare affordable.
"I will put the people first. I'll put the people before politics, before party, before power. Finally, as I like to tell people, I am a prisoner of hope. I truly believe that our best days are ahead of us if we continue to work for it … and one way to work for it is to make sure we vote," Cooper said.
