Find out where to vote early and on Election Day in Indiana

Voter information must be current to vote in Indiana.
Each election year features two deadlines to register to vote: one before voting begins for the primary and another before early polls open for the general election. Voter registration will resume Nov. 4 ahead of the 2027 primaries.
Early voting for the general election began Oct. 6 in Indiana, and Election Day is Nov. 3.
Voters should review county policies regarding vote centers. Seventy-two of Indiana's 92 counties are vote center counties, meaning residents can cast ballots at any polling location within their county of residence.
The list includes Marion County and all surrounding counties except Hamilton County. Hamilton County introduces voting centers in 2027. In counties without vote centers, residents must vote at assigned polling locations on Election Day.
Early voting typically happens at county election offices, with additional satellite locations opening as Election Day approaches. The Indiana Voter Portal lists early voting locations and hours .
Voters must present a photo ID issued by the state or federal government. Acceptable forms of ID include active Indiana driver's licenses, passports, or U.S. military IDs.
Residents lacking acceptable forms of ID can apply for free, nondriver photo IDs through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
The Secretary of State's website also allows voters to apply for a mail-in absentee ballot. Individuals with a disability that impairs the ability to independently mark a ballot, such as blindness or a dexterity disability, can apply for the traveling voter board through the site.
To check voter registration status, visit the Secretary of State's website at indianavoters.in.gov and select "Check voting status." Users enter a name, date of birth, and county of residence.
