The medication was distributed nationwide between Nov. 21, 2025, and April 27, 2026, and was recalled in October after the Olmesartan Medoxomil failed to meet dissolution testing requirements, according to California's Board of Pharmacy .

Dissolution testing helps assess the quality of a drug by evaluating how well it dissolves and releases its active ingredients when placed in liquid, according to pharmaceutical technology company Pion .
