More than four years after Florida Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan was  shot and killed in a Jacksonville Beach neighborhood , the now-estranged husband of Bridegan's ex-wife is standing trial for an alleged murder-for-hire plot this week.

There are three defendants in the alleged murder-for-hire case.  Shanna Gardner , 39, and her estranged husband,  Mario Fernandez Saldana , 38, are accused of conspiring to kill Bridegan and orchestrating the murder with another accomplice,  Henry Tenon . On Monday, Aug. 17, Fernandez Saldana's trial began in Jacksonville, and continues this week.
