Here's What Paxton and Talarico Said About Each Other on Final Campaign Night

Democrat James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton traded insults at their final campaign rallies before Texas voters headed to the polls in a razor-thin Senate race. In Austin, James Talarico compared Attorney General Ken Paxton to an unwanted bar regular who puts drinks on someone else's tab, saying he's finished paying. Meanwhile, 220 miles north in Allen, State Senator Bob Hall mocked James Talarico's name while urging conservative supporters to vote against the Democratic Senate candidate. Ken Paxton targeted James Talarico's progressive positions on social issues, telling supporters Texans should "transition him out of office" when they cast their Election Day ballots. Ken Paxton warned that Texas' 32-year Republican streak was at risk. He urged supporters to reach out to their contacts until the last minute before voting. James Talarico framed the contest as a fight against corporate money and mega-donors. The candidates closed their campaigns with rallies in their respective political backyards.
