Houston Whataburger Drive-Thru Down After Truck Crashes Into Building

A truck crashed into a northwest Houston Whataburger on Halloween morning, shutting down its drive-thru. The restaurant remains open, but the damaged window area is boarded up. The crash happened at 1110 Silber Road, near Walmart. A Whataburger employee said it happened around 8 a.m. No one working inside the restaurant was hurt. A video posted on TikTok on Saturday showed the aftermath and has since gone viral. The pickup truck's front was lodged in the building at the first drive-thru window. Police and firefighters responded to the crash. How the truck ended up crashing into the building is not known, and the drive-thru remains closed for repairs. Cones now block off the drive-thru lane at the Houston location. The damaged section has been covered with boards following the truck's crash into the window. Customers can still get food at the restaurant despite the drive-thru closure. The Whataburger on Silber Road remains open for dine-in service, curbside pickup and delivery.
