“At a time when so many Americans are afraid and intimidated, Terry gave a masterclass in journalism in his interview of Donald Trump, yesterday. Look it up,” The View co-host shared on Instagram . “Trump gave him the interview because he’d never heard of him and thought Terry would be a push-over. Instead, Terry pushed back.”
She continued, “I urge you to watch the interview – full of unhinged, inaccuracies, exaggerations and down-right lies. But Terry fact-checked him on the spot, time after time.”
During the sit-down interview to highlight Trump’s first 100 days at the White House in his second term, the President of the United States told Moran he had “the big break of a lifetime,” adding, “You know, you are doing the interview. I picked you because, frankly, I never heard of you, but that’s OK.”
Moran pushed back on Trump’s claims that Kilmar Abrego García, the migrant deported from the U.S. who courts have ordered to return, was affiliated with the gang MS-13. Trump said a photo of tattoos on his knuckles confirmed García was part of the gang, but Moran fact-checked him, telling him the photo was digitally altered.
