The accuser alleged that Lorna Hajdini abused and harassed him, which her attorneys say is “categorically” untrue
A JPMorgan Chase executive is adamantly denying sensationally lurid sexual harassment allegations made against her in a lawsuit this week that — in an unusual turn of events — was soon withdrawn for “correction.”
The company also maintains that it investigated and could not substantiate any wrongdoing in part because the male employee behind the lawsuit “refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”
The complaint was filed Monday, April 27, in New York and first reported in the tabloids, almost immediately stirring up viral discussion online and making further headlines.
According to The Daily Mail and, later, The New York Post , the suit was filed by an ex-employee of JPMorgan, identified only as “John Doe” out of purported safety concerns.
His suit accused Lorna Hajdini, a female executive director with JPMorgan, of coercing him into sex without his consent and drugging him as well as threatening and insulting him and multiple other profane acts of harassment and abuse, all starting in 2024.
The John Doe accused JPMorgan in his lawsuit of retaliation and for not investigating the matter property, the Post reported.
Within days of the tabloid stories, the legal fight took an odd turn.

A court representative told PEOPLE on Friday, May 1, that the complaint had been “returned for correction” and was no longer publicly available, but they could not provide further details.
PEOPLE was not able to review documents in the case, given this.
It’s unclear if and when the suit may be refiled and with what changes.
In a statement to PEOPLE through a JPMorgan spokesperson, Hajdini's attorneys said she “categorically denies the allegations.”
“She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place,” her lawyers said.
A JPMorgan spokesperson said in a separate statement to PEOPLE that there had been an internal probe of the matter.
“Following our investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims. While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations,” the spokesperson said.
