The first recall involves approximately 8,000 GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings – translucent round squishy balls decorated with cartoon faces, glitter-like particles and water beads. The toys were sold in tan plastic containers designed to look like bamboo steamers, with "Squeezy Dumplings" and "Squeeze Me" printed on removable labels.

These toys were sold on Amazon from May through June 2026 for about $20.

The second recall covers approximately 7,200 Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys (Model D08004). These translucent pink toys also contain glitter and water beads and feature cartoon faces. They were packaged in similar tan, bamboo-steamer-style containers labeled "Rainbow Mystery" and "Sugar Edition."

Dig deeper

According to the CPSC, the water beads inside both recalled products can expand beyond permitted sizes. If swallowed, the beads can cause choking and intestinal blockages, potentially resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting and dehydration. In serious cases, ingestion can be fatal.

The CPSC also said the toys violate mandatory federal safety requirements for toys because of the size to which the water beads can expand.

As of Sept. 3, no incidents or injuries have been reported from the recalled product.
