Lindsay Clancy’s Ex Patrick Clancy Breaks Silence After Mistrial, Says He ‘Will Never Recover’

Lindsay Clancy 's ex-husband, Patrick Clancy , is speaking out.
After a mistrial was declared Friday, September 4, in the case against the 36-year-old Massachusetts mother accused of killing the pair's three young children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, at their home in January 2023, Patrick released a statement through his lawyer.
"Patrick Clancy is grateful to the Court and to the jurors for their hard work, their commitment, and their perseverance," Patrick's attorney said in the statement, obtained by TMZ .
"The loss of Patrick's children is something from which he will never recover and from which there will never be closure," the statement continued. "The prospect of reliving this tragedy through another trial is extraordinarily painful for Patrick, for his family, and for all of us."

As Globe previously reported , jurors said they could not reach a unanimous verdict on whether Lindsay was criminally responsible for strangling their three children. With the jury deadlocked, Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial, despite Lindsay's emergency bid to halt the proceedings , which was denied by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
While the case will likely return to its pretrial status, the Associated Press reports, Lindsay could still face murder charges.

For now, she remains at Tewksbury Hospital for psychiatric treatment as prosecutors decide whether to retry the case with an all-new jury or pursue another resolution.
Patrick, meanwhile, who has since moved on after his split from Lindsay, was seen stepping out with his new wife, Rachel, in New York City earlier this week amid the proceedings, according to TMZ .
