Did you know there are 3 species of shark that lay eggs around the UK coast?

Join our eagle-eyed guides and comb Spurn’s beach for mermaid’s purses hidden amongst the strandline. You never know what you might find.

Please be aware that our Shark Egg Hunt takes place along Spurn's beach, which has rocky and uneven terrain.

What to bring/wear

Remember coats, hats and comfortable shoes or wellies!

Toilets and catering

There are toilets (including an accessible toilet) and a café at the Spurn Discovery Centre, serving both hot and cold food.

Joining us on the day

Our events meet at Spurn Discovery Centre, where there is a cafe and toilets. Please arrive with plenty of time before your event!

Parking information

There is a £5 parking charge, which helps us to maintain the centre and look after the reserve. There is free parking for Wildlife Trust members who display their up-to-date membership card on their car dashboard.
