A.J.P.Contractors works on many projects with main  contractors who support the company’s philosophy  of quality, reliability, and safety. The company is a  current member of "  The Building Safety Group " and has also been awarded " WorkSafe Contractor "  status from the " Safety Management Advisory  Service " who are a fully registered member of the  Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) 

A.J.P. Contractors work with Principal Contractors under the CDM Regulations 1994 and Health & Safety considerations are paramount within our company. The Health & Safety of all our personnel and the public that we are constantly involved with is of principal importance.

All core personnel have undergone Health & Safety Awareness Training as part of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and the National Training Initiative of full training for all building trade employees. All employees are made aware of their rights and responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (S7) and the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regs 1999 (S3). 

On The Job.......

Our workforce is trained in the following compulsory areas, those being; Full First Aiders are employed and trained. Appointed Persons in First Aid are employed and trained. Aluminium Mobile Tower erection and dismantling and Elevated Platform trained.

Works Stage Health & Safety Plans are compiled on all contracts where we act as Principal Contractor and Risk Assessments and Method Statements are completed on all other contracts. This ensures that our clients are informed of how the job will be carried out detailing any control measures that would be put in place. The Method Statement is based on the Risk Assessment, which details assessment of the risks to the Health & Safety of employees and others who could be affected by the work. These have proved to be an effective and practical project management tool.
