Our volunteer sessions help you to develop practical and transferrable skillswhilst learning more about local wildlife and conservation. We meet on the first Saturday of every monthduring term time, usually at our amazing Grow Wilder site at 181 Frenchay Park Rd, Bristol BS16 1HB, but depending on what conservation management tasks needs doing at different times of year, we may work in other areas in the region.

Courses
We hold a variety of events, talks and workshops - some of which are free of charge, or have low-income spaces available.
Work experience
Unfortunately we aren't able to offer work experience placements. In the video below some of our staff talk about how they got into their role with Avon Wildlife Trust - covering roles in Communications, Practical Conservation, Wellbeing with Nature, and Community Engagement.
I enjoyed the project - it feels really good to help make a home for animals who might not have one. My favourite bit was doing the sawing and working with a hammer.
