Hibernating dormouse Hibernating Dormouse: Danny Green

What's on your bucket list? Start something amazing...

Inspired by the 2007 film of the same name starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, The Bucket List is defined as a number of experiences or achievements a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime. We're hoping that alongside running a marathon or experiencing the Northern Lights, our supporters may also consider leaving a legacy to Avon Wildlife Trust.

Many of us set annual goals, wish lists or resolutions. For those who care about wildlife, those could include seeing a dormouse in the wild, boxing hares or the unforgettable sight and sound of a starling murmation in the autumn sky.

By going one step further it could be the start of something amazing: it could change your life, the lives of others, and the world.

If you love wildlife, leaving a legacy to Avon Wildlife Trust could be a Bucket List achievement with lasting significance. Whichever of our wild places or wildlife has your heart- whether it is a woodland, wildflower meadow, the otter or dormouse, we are working to protect it.

Leaving a legacy of any size will help protect habitats, plants and animals beyond your lifetime and give children the chance to experience the joys of nature.

And compared with some Bucket List ambitions it's easy to do- there's no need to jump out of a plane at 13,000 feet, trek the Peruvian mountains or spend days with a foreign language tape.

Share your ideas by submitting them online at wildlifetrusts.org/bucketlist . Contact us if you want to learn how legacies are making a difference to wildlife and to people, or if you want to let us know that you have remembered the Trust in your will.
