It’s understandable that we’ve grown a distrust for them: they have a reputation for eating holes in our clothes and stinging our loved ones. We can’t share a moment with a woodlouse in the same sort of way as we can with a fox or an owl. Maybe it’s difficult to see humanity reflected in the unblinking eight eyes of a spider.
