If you're having trouble downloading the Facebook app for iPhone or iPad, try these troubleshooting tips:
Check to see how much space is available on your phone or tablet.

If you have less than 100 MB available, you can uninstall apps to clear up space, then retry the download.
Check your internet connectivity. For best results, connect to Wi-Fi and retry the download.
Cancel and restart the download.
Log out of Facebook, then retry the download.

Uninstall
your Facebook app, restart your phone and then re-install the Facebook app from the App Store

The Facebook app for Android, iPhone and iPad supports the following operating systems:
Android
: 6.0 or greater
iPhone
: iOS 13.4 or greater
iPad
: iOS 13.4 or greater
If your operating system is supported, you’ll be able to receive regular updates to the Facebook app and you'll be able to access new features as they become available. For the best experience, we recommend updating your device to the latest available operating system.
What happens when my operating system isn’t supported anymore?
When we no longer support an operating system, you can continue to use the Facebook app, but you won’t receive any further updates and you won’t have access to any new features we publish.
Over time, you may begin to experience slow performance or other issues as Facebook continues to publish new features and make changes. You won’t be able to update the app to fix these issues.
We recommend using a device with a supported operating system for the best experience using Facebook.

Add Facebook widgets to your iPhone's lock screen
Add Facebook widgets to your iPhone's lock screen
To access lock screen widgets from Facebook, you must have the Facebook app installed and your device must have iOS 16 or greater.
You can add widgets from Facebook to your iPhone's lock screen. You can quickly see content that matters to you by adding the appropriate widget. You can add both lock screen widgets
and home screen widgets to your iPhone.
Note: You can’t add widgets to your default lock screen. You need to create a new lock screen to add widgets to.

Birthdays at a Glance
The Birthdays at a Glance widget reminds you if any of your friends are celebrating a birthday that day.
Two sizes are available. The larger size will tell you who is celebrating a birthday, while the smaller size shows how many friends are celebrating birthdays.
Tapping either size on your lock screen will open the Facebook app and show all upcoming birthdays.
Top Updates
Top Updates
The Top Updates widget shows you important updates about your activity on Facebook. You’ll see both notifications and related posts.
When you tap a notification in the widget, it will open in the Facebook app.

How do I add a lock screen widget?
1.
On your phone, with the phone locked, tap and hold on your lock screen.

Once Unlock to edit
appears, tap and hold on your lock screen again.
3.
Unlock your phone.
4.
If you haven’t made a new lock screen, tap +
. Follow the onscreen instructions to create a lock screen. If you make a new lock screen, skip the next step.

Swipe left and right to select the lock screen you’d like to add widgets to. Tap Customize

You can only manage continuous contact uploading on the Android, iPhone, iPad or Facebook Lite apps.
When continuous contact uploading is turned on, Facebook will automatically upload your contacts from your phone or tablet whenever you log into your Facebook account.
Turn continuous contact uploading off or on in the Facebook app

If you use the Facebook app on more than one phone or tablet, you'll need to turn off continuous contact uploading on each one.
View or remove your uploaded contacts
You can view or remove
your uploaded contacts on the Manage Invites and Imported Contacts
page.
