Add Facebook widgets to your mobile device's home screen
Home screen widgets are only available on iPhone, iPad and Android devices. If you're using an iPhone or iPad, you must have the Facebook app and iOS 14 or greater installed. If you're using an Android device, you must have the Facebook app and Android 6.0 or greater installed.
Home screen widgets allow you to add Facebook content to your mobile device’s home screens. You can quickly see content that matters to you by adding the appropriate widget.
If you’re using an iPhone, you can also install widgets on your lock screen

The widgets available will be different depending on if you have the Facebook app or the Facebook Lite app installed on your device.

How do I install a home screen widget?
iPhone:
1.
On your device, go to the home screen you’d like to add the widget to.
2.
Tap and hold in empty space until your apps begin moving.
3.
Tap +
at the top.
4.
Tap the search field and type Facebook
. Tap the Facebook app.
5.
Select the widget you’d like to add, then tap Add Widget
.
6.
Tap and drag the widget to where you’d like it.
7.
Tap Done
.
iPad:
1.
On your device, swipe to the left most home screen. Keep swiping until the Today View panel opens.
2.
Tap and hold in empty space until your apps begin moving.
3.
Tap +
at the top.
4.
Tap the search field and type Facebook
. Tap the Facebook app.
5.
Select the widget you’d like to add, then tap Add Widget
.
6.
Tap and drag the widget to where you’d like it.
7.
Tap Done
.
Keep in mind, the Today View panel doesn’t stay open by default. If you’d like to keep the Today View open so you can easily see the widget, tap Keep on Home Screen
at the top of the Today View while installing the widget.
Android:

On your device, go to the home screen where you'd like the widget to be installed.

Tap and hold on the home screen.

How do I remove a home screen widget?
iPhone:
1.
On your device, go to the home screen with the widget.

Tap and hold the widget.

Tap Remove Widget

On your device, go to the Today View panel.

Tap and hold the widget.

Tap Remove Widget
