Learn about and manage suggested content in your Facebook Feed

To help you discover new things on Facebook, we suggest certain content in your Feed . Content suggested for you is personalized based on what may be relevant to you and are influenced by things such as your previous Facebook activity. Content that is suggested for you can be videos, photos, or articles from Pages and groups that you don’t already follow. These suggestions are not paid for.
What influences suggested content
Many factors influence which suggested content you see, and some factors have more influence than others. Some of the most important factors include:
Who interacted with the content: Content may be suggested for you if other people who interacted with it also previously interacted with the same group, Page, or content as you.
Related topics: If you’ve recently engaged with a certain topic on Facebook, we may suggest other content that are related to that topic. For example, if you recently liked or commented on a post from a basketball Page, we could suggest other posts about basketball.
Location: You may see suggested content based on where you are and what people near you are interacting with on Facebook.
Facebook’s standards for suggested content in Feed
Our goal is to make recommendations that are relevant to each person who sees them. Through our Recommendations Guidelines , we work to avoid making recommendations that could be low-quality, objectionable, or particularly sensitive. We also avoid making recommendations that may be inappropriate for younger users.
