Vermiculite

Horticultural grade vermiculite serves many purposes and has become a mainstay component of soilless growing mediums. Vermiculite improves soil aeration and retains the moisture and nutrients necessary to feed roots, cuttings, and seeds while increasing growth speed.

Vermiculite is mandatory in all dangerous goods liquids shipped by air.

We offer grade A4, extra coarse vermiculite. This is an excellent and economical solution for shipping samples.

How it works:

Vermiculite has cation exchange properties; thus, it can store and supply ammonium, potassium, calcium and magnesium to the growing plant. When mixed with peat, composted bark, organic compost, or natural soils, vermiculite helps promote faster root growth and gives quick anchorage to young roots. These mixes retain air, plant food, and moisture that gets released when needed by the plant. Vermiculite is very light and easy to handle which allows it to easily mix with soil, peat, composted pine bark, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, and other composted organic materials. Vermiculite is also mandatory for all shipments of liquids by air when secondary means of closure cannot be used.
