Students can fulfill the first-year writing requirement and the first-year seminar requirement by taking both terms of Humanities 1 and 2, a selective, interdisciplinary two-term course sequence for first-year students offered only in fall and winter terms. If you are accepted into the sequence, you may choose to enroll in either one or both courses. HUM 1 fulfills the first-year writing requirement; HUM 2 satisfies the first-year seminar requirement.
Students interested in Humanities 1 and/or 2 must apply directly to the program during the summer prior to registering for fall term.
