The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Singapore issued the following statement today:
“The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Singapore informs that according to the enactment by the Council of Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran dated 16th of December 2023, visa requirement for the Nationals of the Republic of Singapore is removed.
In accordance with the new regulations, from 4th of February 2024 the Nationals of the Republic of Singapore are permitted, for the purpose of tourism, to enter into and stay in the Islamic Republic of Iran for a period of 15 days without visa every 180 days. The 15 days period shall not be extended.”
Iranian citizens who are planning a trip to Singapore aren’t required to apply for a visa if they wish to go for short stays (tourism). But it’s required to obtain an electronic travel authorization (eTA or eVisa) before entering Singapore.
In December 2023, Iran has already granted visa-free entry to visitors from 33 states, in an attempt to boost tourism arrivals and attract more visitors from countries around the world.
