Skål International Hong Kong marked its 75th anniversary at Cordis Hong Kong with a strategic move to strengthen regional ties, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to rejoin the Skål International Asia Area. The agreement was formalized by Brian Harris, Vice President of Skål International East Asia, and Jason Kelly, President of Skål International Hong Kong, before senior travel and hospitality leaders.
The MoU restores Hong Kong’s formal alignment with the Asia Area Committee and sets a framework for coordinated programming, cross-border collaboration, and shared regional priorities. Leaders emphasized that stronger networks are essential in today’s competitive tourism environment, offering members expanded market access and more efficient professional exchange across Asia.
“This signing represents both a homecoming and a springboard,” Harris said, highlighting the club’s longstanding role within the regional network. Kelly added that the partnership supports Greater Bay Area cooperation and aligns with upcoming initiatives, including the Skål Asia Congress in Macau.
Founded in 1949, Skål International Hong Kong aims to leverage renewed regional integration to drive membership growth, industry forums, and sustainability-focused tourism initiatives, positioning the organization for its next chapter of collaboration and professional development.
