A rabbi was stabbed outside Shaloh House, a Jewish Day school in Brighton Thursday afternoon, the Anti-Defamation League of New England confirmed.
“Today’s attack on a rabbi in #BrightonMA has sent a shockwave of fear & anxiety throughout the community,” the agency said in a Tweet early Thursday evening.
The man was stabbed multiple times on Chestnut Hill Avenue in Brighton, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening, said Sergeant Detective John Boyle, a department spokesman. The suspect is in custody, Boston police said.
