FCPS Get2Green is excited to host our division-wide Earth Week 2026! Earth Week is a fun way to highlight the work happening in your school, foster new learning, and develop students as environmental stewards and ethical and global citizens . Use the resources below to engage your students in FCPS Earth Week!
Get2Green Earth Week 2026 Themes
Students and Staff are invited to wear the color matching each day’s theme to show your Earth Week spirit.
- Monday, April 20 – Wildlife Day - wear nature print
- Tuesday, April 21 – Zero Waste Day - wear white
- Since FCPS schools will now be closed Tuesday, April 21 for the state-wide special election, Get2Green recommends schools incorporate Zero Waste throughout the week or shift days as it makes sense for your school.
- Wednesday, April 22 – Earth Day - wear green
- Thursday, April 23 – Climate Change Day - wear red
- Friday, April 24 – Watershed Day - wear blue

Earth Week Events in Our Community
Continue the learning and have fun with our Fairfax County Partners.
Fairfax County Park Authority's Earth Day Festival will be held Saturday, April 25 from 10am-4pm at Lake Fairfax Park. The festival will include earth and nature-focused programs, scavenger hunts, and more. Admission is free; parking is $10 per car.
