Mark your calendars for August 20! New students are invited to attend New Student Orientation from 12:00–2:00 PM, followed by Wolverine Welcome from 2:00–4:00 PM for all students. These events are a great opportunity to explore the building, connect with staff and student leaders, and get ready for a successful start to the school year.

Our campus remains active throughout the summer, serving as a host site for Summer School and Credit Recovery programs. The main office will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Additional information about summer programs, schedules, and services will be available soon. In the latest edition of Shining a Light on Success in FCPS, Principal Statz and attendance team share how a school-wide commitment to relationships, communication, and student support helped dramatically reduce chronic absenteeism. West Po has focused on one simple idea: when students feel seen, valued, and supported, they show up.

Students, families, and staff came together on May 29 for the Low Incidence program's first Sneaker Ball, a day filled with dancing, karaoke, and unforgettable memories.

Starting July 1, 2026, FCPS will implement a new “bell-to-bell” phone-free policy in alignment with Virginia law. Cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, and other internet-connected personal devices must be turned off and stored away throughout the entire school day, including during lunch for high schoolers.
