Records of the School Trustees of Dranesville District
Founded in 1870, the Dranesville Magisterial District originally encompassed the communities of Colvin Run, Dranesville, Floris, Forestville, Money’s Corner, Navy, Vale, Wiehle, portions of Chantilly, and for a brief period the village of Herndon. The Dranesville School District has suffered some records loss. There are two surviving minute books of the School Trustees. Minute Book 1, covering the period of 1886 to 1910, has been transcribed and is available for viewing below. The transcription of Minute Book 2, covering the period of 1907 to 1922, in still in process.
