First Grade

In first grade students “soar” through learning as readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, historians, problem-solvers,  communicators and collaborators.  Students in first grade demonstrate tremendous growth in reading from the beginning to the end of the school year.  We also  focus on building classroom community, emphasizing the importance of friendships, kindness, sharing and a growth mindset. As all teams do at Canterbury Woods, we work collaboratively to plan for, assess, enrich and intervene for all students. Go First Grade!!!
