Partners for Safe Teen Driving

All students enrolled in classroom driver education must attenda 90-minute parent-teen traffic safety presentation: Partners for Safe Teen Driving.  This is a state mandated required step in the licensing process and must be completed in addition to successful completion of classroom instruction and passing the summative assessment in order for a student to receive a DEC-District 8/pink card. 

The program is available to FCPS students enrolled in grade 10 health and physical education at no charge.

Students who are completing classroom instruction through a commercial driving school, home schooling, or enrollment in another school division are to attend the 90-minute parent-teen traffic safety presentation. A  $45 fee applies . Registration is available through Adult and Community Education (ACE).

Presentations begin promptly at 7pm and late arrivals are not permitted.  Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early and bring a pen.  

Dates for 2025-26:

Students and parents may attend the session that is most convenient for them throughout the school year in which the student is enrolled in Driver's Education.
