What is Davis Center Catering? 

Welcome! Our Davis Center Catering program is part of the Davis Career Center vocational program in Fairfax County Public Schools. Our class is made up of students with disabilities ages 18-22. Our students work in our program to learn employable work skills, so each year we have new students in our program. We love teaching our students how to work in a kitchen!

How do I order?

How far in advance do I need to place an order? Orders must be placed at least two weeks before the date needed. Changes to these orders must be made at least 1 week in advance. Please note that our students are limited in the number of orders that can be worked on each day, so we may not be able to accept all orders. It is best to order as far ahead as you can for us to guarantee availability for your order. Our busiest times of the year are around Thanksgiving/Christmas and Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

How do I cancel an order? 

Cancellations must be made at least 1 week in advance. If cancellations are made after 1 week, we may not be able to accept orders in the future. Please email [email protected] or call at 703-714-5600 to cancel.

Are you open on the weekends? 

We follow the FCPS calendar, so we are not available for orders on weekends/holidays/summer. If you’d like to order catering for a weekend event, you are welcome to place an order for pickup on Fridays! We are also limited to large orders on Mondays (or the first day back after a holiday weekend) because we do not have the day before to prep the freshest food for you.

Do you deliver?

We are limited to a 5-mile radius from our school. Delivery option may also be subject to our students’ schedule availability. Orders for delivery must also have a minimum of $80.

Where do I pickup my order?

Our address is 7731 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22043. We are located at door 8 in Marshall High School, which is to the right of the building. You may buzz in to door 8 and come to the Davis Center office. They will let us know when you arrive and we will bring the order to you.

What time can I pick up my order?

Orders may be picked up anytime between 9:30am-3:00pm. Orders that need to be picked up between 8:00am-9:30am need to be confirmed with Lauren Forshay or Rebecca McDermott.

Can your students serve at our event? 

Yes! Our students love going in the community to cater and serve at lunch events that are during school hours (11:00am-1:30pm). We have served and catered many lunch events using a buffet style or plated meal style. Please email [email protected] for availability and more information about this service.

How do I pay for my order? 

We accept cash, check (made out to the Davis Career Center) or credit card payments using the link below. Please do not pay for your order until you receive an invoice and confirmation that we have availability to accept your order. Payment must be made prior to or at time of pickup. We also accept FCPS school to school payment (ACH). Please reach out to our wonderful finance tech, Stefany Fuentes, with questions about this.

Do you offer per person entrées? 

No, we offer à la carte items that serve 9-10 people.

Do you provide plates, napkins, cutlery, or sternos? 

No, we only provide the food that is ordered. We do not offer beverages.

Do you offer breakfast?

Yes, we offer a variety of breakfast item platters. However, we are unable to have them ready for pickup before 9:30am as our students have class in the morning. Many of our customers order breakfast items for pickup the afternoon prior to their event.

Do you offer allergy friendly items?

Our students prepare food that contain common allergens (gluten, nuts, dairy, eggs, etc). We cannot guarantee that our products are completely free of specific allergens due to possible cross contamination. You are welcome to reach out to us to ask if there are allergen sensitive options available (for an additional cost), but we cannot guarantee we can provide your accommodation requests.

Do you offer custom printed sugar cookies? 

We can offer custom printed sugar cookies that are made with an edible printer. Our sugar cookies are a popular item and are subject to student availability. We are unable to accept custom sugar cookie orders over a quantity of 100. Images or logos must be emailed to us using a high resolution picture at least 14 calendar days before the order.
