READING BY 3RD GRADE                            AREA 1
Outcomes                            
● The percentage of K–3 Multilingual Learners scoring in the moderate or low risk bands on the VALLSS will increase by 12 percentage points—from 72% in Spring 2025 to 84% in Spring 2026.                            
● K-2: By the end of the 2025–2026 school year, 90% of K-2 students will be at low/moderate risk on the spring 2026 VALLSS.  

3rd: By the end of the 2025–2026 school year, the percentage of third-grade students meeting or exceeding their expected annual growth target on iReady, will increase by 10 percentage points from Fall 2025 to Spring 2026.

Strategies                            
● Use data from formative and summative assessments in the core curriculum to guide instructional decisions during tier 1 and tier 2 reading and writing instruction (ex. data dialogues, CT data discussions).
● Utilize routines and explicit instruction to intensify phonics and word study instruction in alignment with the core curriculum (ex. ECRI, Lexia, implementation guide resources).                          


ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MATH                            AREA 2
Outcomes                            
● By the end of the 2025–2026 school year, the simple pass rate on the Mathematics SOL for students with disabilities in grades 3-6 will increase from 41% in Spring 2025 to 60% in Spring 2026.

● By the end of the 2025–2026 school year, the simple pass rate on the Mathematics SOL for students in grades 3-6 will increase from  72% in Spring 2025 to 82% in Spring 2026.                       

Strategies                            
● Increase teacher implementation of explicit instruction and other components of effective mathematics intervention.
● Improve alignment of instructional planning based on analysis of common assessments.                         


CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM                            AREA 3
Outcomes                            
● By June 16, 2026, the overall student absenteeism rate will decrease from 13.5% in June 2025 to 10%.                            

Strategies                            
● Staff regularly model social and emotional competencies in their interactions with others, to include interactions with students, families, and one another.
● Schools share multilingual attendance materials with families throughout the year to educate families regarding the importance of attendance for school success.                           


SCIENCE                            AREA 4
Outcomes                            
● By the end of the 2025–2026 school year, the percentage of fifth-grade students passing the Science SOL will increase by 10 percentage points—from 65% in Spring 2025 to 75% in Spring 2026.                            

Strategies                            
● Utilize a balanced assessment approach, including a variety of formative and summative assessments, to evaluate student progress and inform instruction throughout lessons and units.
● Increase opportunities for students to apply and demonstrate understanding of vocabulary through evidence-based arguments and reasoning, such as the Claim-Evidence-Reasoning approach.
