Dr. Megan Tempel-Milner has been an educator for nearly 25. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, advanced academic resource teacher, Title I teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, director of gifted and advanced academic services, and principal. Her diverse background has equipped her with a deep understanding of instructional best practices, equitable access to learning, and the power of strong relationships between families, students, and staff.
Dr. Tempel-Milner holds a Ph.D. in organizational leadership and policy studies from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the College of William & Mary, and a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from the University of Scranton. She is passionate about supporting all learners and believes that every child should be heard, seen, challenged, and valued in their educational journey. As a leader, she values working alongside staff, students, and families to create a joyful, inclusive school culture rooted in trust, shared goals, and high expectations for all.
Outside of school, Dr. Tempel-Milner enjoys running, hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and children. She is a proud mother of two and spends most of her weekends and evenings carpooling and cheering her children on in basketball, cross country, and lacrosse. She recognizes that after the school day ends, families are juggling many responsibilities and that time together is both limited and deeply important. She strives to support school-home partnerships that respect those realities while working together to help every child succeed.
