READING BY 3RD GRADE
Outcomes
● On the 2026 Grade 3 Reading SOL, the simple pass rate for SWD's will increase by 10 points (%) in comparison to the 2025 simple pass rate for SWD's..
● On the 2026 Grade 3 Reading SOL, the simple pass rate for all students will increase by 10 points compared to the 2025 simple pass rate.
Strategies
● Improve integrity of implementation of core curriculum: tailoring instruction to meet student needs aligned with evidence-based literacy instruction (ex. classroom walkthroughs, CT planning, coaching).
● Ensure fidelity of implementation in tier 3 intervention programs to maximize student progress (ex. fidelity toolkits, program matching, intervention effectiveness protocol, intervention walkthroughs).
● Use data from formative and summative assessments in the core curriculum to guide instructional decisions during tier 1 and tier 2 reading and writing instruction (ex. data dialogues, CT data discussions)."
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MATH
Outcomes
● On the 2026 Grades 3-6 Math SOL Tests, the simple pass rate for SWDs will increase by 10 points (%) in comparison to 2025.
● From fall to spring, the percentage of Grades 1–6 students achieving expected growth benchmarks in Math will rise by ten percentage points. On the 2026 Grades 3-6 Math SOL Tests, the simple pass rate for all students will increase by 10% compared to the 2025 results. "
Strategies
● Increase teacher's implementation of strategies and conversation structures that increase academic talk between students related to Shift 4: from show and tell to share and compare.
● Increase teacher implementation of explicit instruction and other components of effective mathematics intervention.
● All instructional staff will implement use of the student mathematics profile to support teacher learning, increase effiacy and impact student growth and mastery."
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRESS
Outcomes
● By the end of Spring 2026, the percentage of multilingual learners making VDOE WIDA Growth as measured by the WIDA ACCESS will increase by 12.4% for an overall VDOE ML growth of 65%.
Strategies
● Establish and incorporate progress-monitoring routines to analyze the results of the FCPS ELD common assessments or Summit K12 assessments to monitor progress and revise students’ language goals and guide instructional decisions during tier 1 and tier 2 (additional language support).
CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM
Outcomes
● By the end of SY 25-26, the rate of chronic absenteeism will decrease from 16.5% (SY 24-35) to 10%.
Strategies
● Communicate with families to recognize and celebrate student growth or success in academics, behavior, attendance, or other areas using a variety of communication methods (e.g., phone calls, emails, Talking Points, postcards) to strengthen student and family engagement.
SCIENCE
Outcomes
● The unadjusted pass rate of the 5th grade Science SOL will increase by 10 points (%) to 59.12% by the end of the 2026 school-year.
Strategies
● (Elementary) Increase student access to high quality science instruction through sufficient time on the master schedule and use of centrally-developed curriculum.
