Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

The Kings Jesters is pleased to announce it will be performing NEWSIES JR. this Spring!

Set in New York City in 1899, Newsies Jr. follows Jack Kelly and his fellow newsboys as they fight for fairness against powerful newspaper publishers. When the publishers raise newspaper prices at the expense of the newsies, the boys decide to strike. With help from reporter Katherine Plumber, the newsies organize, stand up for their rights, and learn the power of teamwork and courage. Through energetic songs and strong friendships, Newsies Jr. tells an inspiring story about standing up for what’s right and finding your voice.

Tickets are $7 each, and can be purchased via MySchoolBucks (Kings Glen students only) , cash, or check payable to Kings Glen ES. If paying by cash/check, please place in envelope with your student's name and teacher. Seating is limited, so be sure to get your tickets soon!

About The Kings Jesters

The King’s Jesters is our in-school theater program where students work together from September through March to bring a full musical production to life. Throughout the process, students learn scripts, music, and choreography while also building props and sets and exploring what happens behind the scenes. Participants gain hands-on experience with every part of a theatrical production, from the first rehearsal to the final performance. Along the way, students build confidence, responsibility, creativity, and teamwork, all while discovering the joy and pride that come from collaborating and performing on stage.
