On Track for Graduation
Outcomes:
● By the end of this 2025-2026 school year, we will increase our FGI (Federal Graduation Index) 1.6%.
● By June 2026, our team will improve our FGI 1.6% for all students, reaching an overall FGI of 92% or better (up from 90.4%). Additionally, we will continue our Attendance Interventions to decrease our Chronic Absenteeism Rate for all students 1.1%, to reach a <14.5% overall rate (down from 15.6%).
Strategies:
● INSTRUCTION: Explicitly model problem-solving strategies, thinking processes, and academic skills to support students in engaging with rigorous tasks.
● ACADEMIC PLANNING: Educate students, families, and community around various pathways to graduation with their 4-year cohort.
● OTG: Designate and/or optimize a school team focused on monitoring the FGI projection, cohort, and student-level data to design plans for testing, credit recovery, and credit accrual.
Postsecondary Readiness
Outcomes
● By the end of the 2026 school year, MV will increase the percentage of 12th grade students who meet postsecondary readiness by completing advanced coursework (AP, IB, or DE) or earning Career and Technical Education (CTE) program finisher status by 5 percentage points.
● By the end of the 2026 school year, MV will increase the percentage of 9th-12th grade students who meet postsecondary readiness by completing advanced coursework (AP, IB, or DE) or earning Career and Technical Education (CTE) program finisher status by 5%.
Strategies
● STAFF CAPACITY: Increase the collective responsibility of ALL staff in supporting school-wide On-Time Graduation and Academic and Career Planning efforts to include 3E (i.e. PD around mindset, cultivating belonging, positive interactions with students)
● INSTRUCTIONAL: Support students’ executive functioning skills (e.g. model notetaking, study skills, time management skills)
● INSTRUCTIONAL: Increase opportunities for student reflection, goal-setting, and feedback that supports growth around content and Portrait of a Graduate skills.

English Language Progress
Outcomes
● By June 2026, the percent of all multilingual learners who meet expected growth on their WIDA ACCESS composite score will increase 6.2%.
Strategies
● Increase collaboration and co-planning between ESOL and special education teachers to plan for and deliver joint services (ELD and Special Education) and to collaboratively develop IEP goals, accommodations, and instructional strategies that address both the language and learning needs of identified students.● Monitor to ensure all multilingual learners are receiving explicit ELD instruction using the appropriate resources as outlined in ELD guidance documents: elementary (resource 1), middle and high school (resource 2).
Chronic Absenteeism
Outcomes
● By the end SY25-26 the MVHS team will reduce chronic absenteeism from 18.8% to 16%, with the exclusion of IPFIT hours.
Strategies
● MTSS Schoolwide and Site Intervention teams analyze attendance, behavior, and wellness data twice a month to evaluate implementation of Tier 1 SEL/wellness initiatives and identify students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. Integrate consistent analysis of data disaggregated by student groups (race/ethnicity, SWD, ML, FRM).
Science
Outcomes
● By the Spring of 2026 the annual pass rate (G9-12) for Math (SOL) will increase the simple pass rate by 2%.
Strategies
● Increase opportunities for English Language Development through use of embedded strategies during whole group instruction and intentional small group instruction focused on specific student needs.
● Utilize a balanced assessment approach, including a variety of formative and summative assessments, to evaluate student progress and inform instruction throughout lessons and units.
School Choice 1 Strategies
Outcomes
● By the Spring of 2026 the annual pass rate (G9-12) for Math (SOL) will increase the simple pass rate by 5%.
Students who are in the MLL student group, as well as the SWD, will also will increase the simple pass rate by 5%
Strategies
● MATH: Increase teacher implementation of explicit instruction and other components of effective mathematics intervention.
● MATH: Increase teachers' implementation of strategies and conversation structures that increase academic talk between students related to Shift 4: from show and tell to share and compare.
