The Fairfax County Public Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) office is offering two summer enrichment opportunities for students. FCPS ACE Adult English Classes. Spring Semester Enrollment Open. (Spring Enrollment Open) Adults in our community can enroll in comprehensive ESOL classes through FCPS Adult and Community Education. Classes are offered at multiple proficiency levels with morning and evening options at locations across the county. Tuition is significantly lower than most college or private language programs.

Virginia Energy Assistance Program (DSS)
Eligible households may receive help with heating, cooling, or energy emergencies through Fuel, Crisis, and Cooling Assistance programs. Support can include help paying utility bills, heating fuel, deposits, or repairing/replacing heating or cooling equipment. Applications are accepted online via CommonHelp, by phone, or through local DSS offices during program-specific application periods. Benefits are based on availability of funds.

NVFS Training Futures is a 12-week program that helps adults gain in-demand digital and office support skills, earn a professional certificate, and receive hands-on support with resumes, interviewing, and networking. Fort Belvoir’s Army Community Service (ACS) supports the military-community by providing a variety of programs to help our military connected families thrive.
The ACS Food Pantry is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and available to all military-connected individuals, including retirees, with current military IDs. Capital Area Food Bank
Capital Area Food Bank is committed to providing food for our neighbors in need, throughout the year and in unexpected moments of economic hardship.
- To support federal employees and contractors affected by the government shutdown, the food bank is holding additional food distributions at locations throughout its partner network. These new food distributions will offer boxes of shelf-stable pantry items and fresh produce for the duration of the shutdown.

Short-Term Behavioral Health (STBH) Services
This flyer describes the Short-Term Behavioral Health (STBH)service offered by Healthy Minds Fairfax. The program provides up to eight free counseling sessions for eligible youth and children in Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church, and the City of Fairfax. The counseling addresses issues such as depression, anxiety, loss, stress, and trauma.
Eligibility is based on age, residence, and family income. Middle and high school-aged youth are eligible, as are children attending select Title I Fairfax County elementary schools. The service is free because Healthy Minds Fairfax covers the cost.
Sessions can be in person or via telehealth and are typically held once a week for eight consecutive weeks. To access the service, a student must be referred by their school social worker, psychologist, or counselor. The flyer also includes a client testimonial and outlines expectations for families who agree to participate, such as committing to attendance and prioritizing the sessions.

Formed Families Together
This flyer describes the peer support groups offered by Formed Families Together. These groups provide a safe space for foster and adoptive parents, as well as kinship caregivers, to share their experiences, concerns, frustrations, and resources. The groups are led by trained peer leaders who have both personal and professional experience. There are two options for joining a group: a virtual group that meets via Zoom on the first Sunday of the month from 7:30 to 9:00 PM , and an in-person group that meets in Fairfax City on the third Wednesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Arabic Early Literacy Program
This flyer describes a free "Arabic Early Literacy" program offered by Fairfax County Public Schools. It is for families with children between the ages of one and five.
