We are pleased to welcome back Mrs. Williams in her new role as principal of Quander Road School.

Mrs. Williams began her career in education as a special education teacher in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2005, she joined Fairfax County Public Schools as a school counselor at Katherine Johnson Middle School. In 2011, she moved to Quander Road School, where she served as both a school counselor and an assistant principal for ten years.

Mrs. Williams is leaving Mount Vernon High School, where she oversaw programs that support students with special needs and helped students prepare for work and life after graduation. In this role, she helped reduce behavior concerns, improve academic performance, and support more students in earning standard diplomas.

Mrs. Williams is known for being a caring and inclusive leader. She values strong relationships with students, families, and staff and works to create a positive and welcoming school environment.

Mrs. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree from Alabama A&M University, a master’s degree from Norfolk State University, and a school leadership license from George Mason University.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Williams and look forward to working together to support our students and families.
